Andy Sasser serves as vice-chairman of the James Monroe Scholarship award. A resident of Richmond, he is employed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.

Andy graduated from The College of William and Mary with a B.A. degree in Economics and a minor in Mathematics. While at William and Mary, he served various leadership roles in the Baptist Student Union, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa during his senior year. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Andy has had a strong interest in history since his childhood. In addition, Andy is a collector of James Bond movie memorabilia, an avid movie buff, and has completed three years of vocal training.
